 In the article "Where the Whale Be At?: The Place of Race and Racism in the Discussion of Environmentalism" T.Cole discusses  facts and gives his opinion about why people of color should care about their environment.He mentions how there between 130,000 and 450,000 abandoned wastes sites located in or near low-income,working-class people of color communities.Also how African Americans are more prone to illness such as AIDS,stroke,cancer and heart disease.How there are a lack of full service supermarkets in low-income communities meaning that these communities don't eat as much of vegetables or fruits.so caring about your enviorment and what surrounds it should spark someone interest to why all of these things  make huges differences for use that live in these communities.

            In this short film moofius a cow tells neo the pig about the truth about factory farming.How greedy corporations have moved in and made many local farms disappear.because these animals live in really bad conditions animal cruelty is practice and heavy amounts of antibiotics are feed to these animals to keep them alive but this also cause the appearance of antibiotic resistant germs.These animals produce alot of waste which in cause massive pollution to local communities.There is way to stop this from happening one way is to support local farmers.

                                                                   The Meatrix: Revolting
          In this second part of the short film the Narrator Moofius goes into more depth into the factory farm.Cow mutalation like cutting of the tails and again antibiotic overuse.These corporations use artificial hormones such as RGBH which cause increased growth rates.Also the calves are separated from their mothers and are feed milk derived from dead animals the dead are feed back to the living but this in causes diseases in the animals such as Mad cow disease .In the end moofius is capture and neo yet again reminds use that we can still stop these corporations by supporting local family farms.

   In this final part of the film moofius is brought into this factory farm the agent has moofius tied down and tells him how the factory operates it process 5000 cows a day.all this to feed Americas fast food nation.but this fast pace enviormant also cause dangerous working conditions for the workers inside this factory this all in the name for profit that is name for it.Because of the fast pace lines theres Manure in the meat that falls from the dead animal.this cause a great risk of Bactria

I think people should becarefull on how they use technology.Facebook,twitter and even myspace are means to reach people by the masses.You could use technology to attack someone without even knowing it.

                                            In "the net is the real world" Simms and Magid explain how two students of Rutgers university were arrested on invasion of privacy charges.and how on sep 19 the actions of these two students led to the suicide death of Tyler Clementi.

                                                         We all use technology in some or another way.Facebook is a social site were peole all over the world could reach and commnaciate with another.posting pictures of ones vacation or even a wild night of partying can be viewed on your page hence becarefull what you put up on your wall.

                                                          Twitter is a more water dwon version of its other counter part this one lets you follow someone you may or may not know.and it also allows other people to follow you.Defamation of someone,s characther can be seen here because it lets you talk to radoom people at once.but its all on you as a person you could say things here that you wouldnt normally say in your real world.
                                                          
                                                         Myspace do i really need to get into this one? impersonation of someones happens here all the time i see people attacing other people verbally all the time.people should just handle this on a more personal level insteed of letting the whole world in on it.

i choose the twinkie it has a sweet cream filling.it is important that we don't eat this because this is a perfect example of modified food this ad shows the twinkie with a beef filling either way with cream or meat it is not real food!

“Blog 7: I Am Not A Cyborg."

cyborg- a person whose physiological functioning is aided by or dependent upon a mechanical or electronic device.This is what would be the definition if one would look it up in a dictionary of course one could argue because their are many different definitions. i say am not dependent i know when to back away from the technology 

In my own opinion the word cyborg means some one that depends on technology every single day of their entire life.I for one don't depend on it when i was younger i remember not owning a cell phone,metro card,or an ipod.But in today world is much more evolved we have all sorts of gadgets,electronics.Now i do own a cell phone i use it to keep in touch with the people i don't get to see everyday and have long conversations at a time but when i don't want the world to bother me i could leave my cell phone off for days at a time.Now the metro card we all know back in the day we all carried nothing but tokens in our pockets just a $1.25 could get you just about any were.Fast forward to 2010 and now we have a light weight plastic card we carry with use that has the word Metro Card printed rite on it.now a $4.50 is round trip any were in New York City.So i guess some of us do use this everyday i do depend on it to get me every were.The ipod is very reliable i for one love my music i have over 4000 songs stored in it.before this good invention every one carried a whole bunch of cd's and a cd player this of course was not the way.i do enjoy this device but i know when to put in down.

In Plato's "allegory of the cave" Socrates talks to a follower named Glaucon about what it is to be a philosopher.and tells him a fable about most people, including ourselves, live in a world of relative ignorance.the cave is the prison house if we made the effort to free ourselves and open our eyes to the truth we wouldn't live in a world of relative ignorance.




"My place in the cave"
As i try describe Socrate’s tale i believe  am still in the cave chained..and it will take sometime before i am free.
Am in this underground area,this den which has this ray of light coming from deep within.Am chained from my arms down to my legs and my neck and i am on my knees.I,ve been like this since my late childhood years their are other young men with me chained as well the same way.All i see around me is darkness no hope, no faith, and no dreams,i see shadows there's this fire right behind me and i hear the echos of these distant yet so close voices.We all converse with one another out loud because we can't see each other.Our master comes he says keep being chained long enough and you will all be rich For some reason i knew that was a lie but yet i,ve been accustomed to these chains for such a very long time.
                                                                 One day i began to conceive a plan,a plan that one day would set me free from these chains.Days have passed i still see the same shadows and still hear the same voices the same echos from a far.And then one day i see this strange figure at first i thought it was just another shadow but wait can this be an illusion could this be my mind playing tricks on me.As this strange figure kept coming closer i saw it had hands,legs,and a head.It was another person other then my master he was wearing this very long cloak and a hood was covering his face he removed it of course.And i saw a face of a very old man with long gray hair he looked at me with out saying a word and all he did was touch my chains and said walk to the light then disappeared.I moved my neck i knew from that moment i was finally liberated from my chains that held me down for so long i was compelled suddenly to stand up and walk towards the light.
                                                                         As i kept walking closer i felt sharp pains on my eyes it was the glare from the light.when i reached the outside i was perplexed by my surroundings. I never saw this bright circle before in my life it was so high looked like it was flying their was also these tall objects with green like hair all over them. As i walked towards a near by path there was a hole that had this clear liquid.I put my hand in and touched this beautiful liquid and felt so warm.as i put my hand in deeper i felt a hard material i pulled it out and it was this round shiny object i was so amazed by it.It had this beautiful bright color i knew it was very valuable because it was the only one i found.
                                                                              I decided to go back into the dark den and show and tell the other young man about the beautiful rich world i just marveled upon and of course the round bright object i found as well.As i walked down and reached the young man they all looked puzzled as if they have never seen me before, i showed them the bright object and told them about the beautiful world outside of this dark den.I started to touch their chains and liberated them i told them to go see for yourselves they all looked at me like if i was crazy they started to walk towards the outside world when all of a sudden they walked back they were all scared to go and move forward.Then they all stared at me with hate in their eyes..before anything was said i jumped into the fire behind me.

We as people live in a blinded society full of ignorance.Most of use are bliss about it we as people are very comfortable because we don't know anything else but "the cave” is my world.but you as an individual   would start seeking better yet facing the truth.once you  tasted the truth you wouldn't want go back to being irgnorant So get up and free yourself from society chains.
